Luis Chico — Coach LCTenzone bangor
scroll for the storythe brief
Luis Chico runs Coach LCT, a personal-training brand based at Enzone, Bangor. He commissioned a library of trainee-side imagery for the Coach LCT website, social channels and the lead-magnet pages that sit alongside his four-week group challenge.
The ask was specific: frames that show form and effort, not aesthetics on their own. Evidence of coaching, not stock fitness pictures.

the approach
The shoot was built around real training sessions rather than staged set-ups. Off-camera flash gave hard, intentional shadow — the kind of light that lets muscle definition and effort read on a phone screen instead of getting lost in ambient gym lighting.
The decision to work close to the trainees came from the brief itself. A wider, more polished frame would have produced gym advertising. A tight, lit frame produced a record of Luis's coaching.

the making
Shot at Enzone, Bangor, across working sets with Luis's clients. Side-profile working sets, mirror compositions for back work, cable rope pulls from behind, deadlift setups, overhead press finishes. Each frame was lit with off-camera flash and graded to keep the gym's green tube light intact rather than corrected away.
A small handful of frames in the curated set are brand portraits of Luis himself, sitting in the same green light — keeping him in the same world as the trainee work, recognisable as the coach behind the brand without dominating the deliverable. Photography and lighting were both handled in-house.

the outcome
A curated set delivered in vertical (Instagram-ready) and horizontal master crops, with full usage rights for the Coach LCT website, social channels and lead-magnet material. Photographed, lit and colour-graded by Mona Digital. Welsh body copy delivered alongside English for bilingual deployment across the brand's properties.

the meaning
Trainer brand photography sits or falls on whether the work looks like coaching or marketing. The deliverable runs across Luis's lead-generation funnel — site, socials, challenge pages — not as decoration but as evidence of the work that happens in the room. Core is Mona Digital's fitness sub-brand; this is the kind of project it exists to make.
