Dafydd Weightman is the founder of Mona Digital. He is a Welsh first-language videographer, photographer and CAA-licensed drone operator based in Anglesey. Before going full-time on Mona Digital, he spent 5+ years on broadcast crew with Welsh independent production companies Chwarel TV and Cwmni Da — editor, camera operator, sound recordist and drone roles on long-running BBC, Channel 4 and S4C productions including Gogglebocs Cymru, The Great House Giveaway, Tŷ Am Ddim and BBC The One Show, alongside drone work on Neeyat, ITV The Bay and Discovery Wheeler Dealers.

Yes — bilingual Welsh and English delivery is standard across all Mona Digital services. Welsh is Dafydd’s first language. Bilingual scripting, captions, subtitles and copy are developed in both languages simultaneously, not translated after the fact.

Mona Digital is built on 5+ years of broadcast crew experience. The studio’s founder, Dafydd Weightman, worked as editor, camera operator, sound recordist and drone operator on long-running productions including S4C Gogglebocs Cymru, Channel 4 The Great House Giveaway, S4C Tŷ Am Ddim, BBC The One Show, BBC Sherwood, BBC Louis Theroux Interviews, ITV The Bay, Discovery Wheeler Dealers, plus the 2023 feature film Neeyat and international productions including Vikings and The Last Kingdom, alongside commercial productions for Liam Gallagher, HP, Pepsi and Jabra.

Yes. Dafydd Weightman holds a CAA Flyer ID and Operator ID — the UK Civil Aviation Authority licences required for commercial drone operations. All drone work is fully insured. We manage all airspace permissions and site assessments.

Videography day rates with Mona Digital start at £500 for a filming day. Short social content packages start from £400–£750. Larger productions — corporate case-study films, brand films and full campaigns — are quoted on request, scoped against the brief rather than a fixed price list. Get in touch with what you need.

Property photography with Hafn by Mona Digital starts from £450 for photo-only shoots. Combined photo + video packages start from £800. Drone tours from £300. Pricing depends on property size and deliverables.

Stori wedding film packages start from £1,200. Photography-only from £900. Combined film and photography from £1,800. Bilingual delivery available on request.

Boost has four options. Lite from £350/month is management-only — 10 posts/month, bilingual captions, scheduling, using visuals you already have. Starter from £650/month adds a monthly half-day content day so we shoot the visuals too. Growth from £1,200/month is a custom-scope package — full content day, 3+ platforms, active community management and quarterly strategy. There is also a one-off Content Day from £450 for brands not ready for a retainer.

Stori is the wedding photography and film branch of Mona Digital. We produce cinematic wedding films and natural wedding photography for couples across North Wales and Anglesey. Packages from £900 photography / £1,200 film. Bilingual delivery available.

Hafn is a premium editorial property photography and film studio. We work with luxury holiday-let owners, boutique hospitality and short-let hosts across Anglesey, Eryri, the Llŷn Peninsula and the Menai Strait. Editorial photography, cinematic video, and bespoke website builds.

Boost is the social media management branch of Mona Digital — bilingual monthly content packages for businesses across North Wales and the North West. Lite from £350/month (management only, you supply visuals), Starter from £650/month (with monthly half-day shoot), Growth from £1,200/month (custom scope with full content day + community management).

Core is the fitness content branch of Mona Digital, producing photography and video for gyms, personal trainers and athletes across North Wales. Content days, monthly packages and one-off shoots available.

Yes — public sector work is a significant part of what we do. Previous public sector clients include Ambition North Wales, Traffic Wales, Isle of Anglesey County Council, Conwy County Borough Council, Ateb Group, Menter Môn, National Youth Theatre of Wales and M-SParc (Menai Science Park). All content is delivered bilingually as standard, meeting Welsh Language Standards requirements.
