OLION is the Fran Wen show. Olion means traces in Welsh — what's left behind. The rehearsal hall is one of the most beautiful working spaces in Wales: arched stone windows, exposed timber roof trusses, a hay-strewn floor for the show's set, the company barefoot and warming up at full volume.
Mona Digital filmed two days of rehearsal as a behind-the-scenes record for Fran Wen's marketing and funder-reporting use. Long-lens character shots, wide arches of the rehearsal hall, the director briefing the company laptop-in-hand. Cut into a 1-minute social piece and a longer process film with Welsh and English subtitle masters.
