Mark Humphreysmark — enzone content day
scroll for the storythe brief
Mark Humphreys is a fitness coach building a personal content brand around training, mindset and the daily grind of gym life under the Enzone banner. The ask was a single content day in North Wales that would feed Mark's Instagram for two months from one shoot: a hero training reel plus an editorial stills bank with a print-magazine register, not phone-grab energy.
A second strand ran in parallel. A longer YouTube cut documenting a day at the gym, with Mark speaking to camera about training and the daily grind.
the approach
Two outputs from one day meant running two visual languages side by side. The reel was scoped as fast-cut motion, leaning into the green emergency-tube lighting already in the gym for a moody, high-contrast palette. Tight on the lifts, wider on the room, no spare frames.
The photography side was scoped as editorial: anatomical close-ups, GASP tank-top frames, the focused profile during a heavy set, all lit with on-site flashes to read like a magazine spread rather than a social grab.
the making
A single content day across Mark's gym in North Wales. The video production side built around bicep curls, the GASP tank-top back, the focused profile during heavy sets, and an environmental mirror frame through the dumbbell rack. Stills covered tricep editorial detail, anatomical biceps mid-curl, and the explosive bodybuilder pose that became the cover frame.
Captured, edited and graded end-to-end by Mona Digital. The day-in-the-life YouTube cut was layered in between sets, so Mark could speak directly to camera without separate scheduling.
the outcome
Delivered as a single uploadable training reel with 16:9 and 9:16 crops for cross-platform social media use, alongside a curated stills set with horizontal and vertical crops. The longer YouTube edit ran as a day at the gym, with Mark talking to camera about training and mindset.

the meaning
Phone-grab fitness content plateaus quickly. The brief was to give a coach his own visual language: two months of personal-training content off a single content day, shot to read like a print spread. Editorial register applied to gym content, done in one day.
