Academi / Bangor University Students' Unionacademi summer ball 2024

Bangor University's annual Summer Ball is the biggest student event of the academic year — thousands of students, multiple stages, live performances, and a full fairground takeover of the Pontio courtyards. Academi (the Students' Union) brought Mona Digital in to deliver the full visual coverage for the 2024 edition: a cinematic aftermovie capturing the scale of the night, the energy on the dance floor, and the candid student moments running through the day.

We worked the whole event from afternoon set-up through to the final confetti drop. Drone for the establishing shots over Pontio + the Bangor city skyline at dusk. Multi-camera coverage of the main stage performances and DJ sets. Roaming gimbal work through the courtyards and along the fair to catch the candid student energy. Edited and colour-graded in the week following for hand-off to Academi for end-of-year comms and the SU socials.
